On the evening of Friday 6th June, Malvern Hills District Council held a Community Celebration evening at Hanley Swan Village Hall. It was a wonderful evening celebrating volunteers, community & arts projects and partnership working across the Malvern Hills district.
We were entertained with poetry and cello performances from young people and delicious vegan food was served.
Monica & Carol were presented with a framed certificate on behalf of all of the Community Fridge volunteers, who were nominated in the ‘Team’ category.
Sheilah Daughtree showcased the preservation work on the fabric Reredos, at St Peter’s church in which Sarah Clark supported her in finding some funding. Sheilah also displayed some of her beautiful quilts.
It was a super opportunity to celebrate so many fantastic projects and people within our local area.
