Barbara Johnson

Barbara was raised in California, received a Bachelor’s in Music (cello performance) from UC Irvine and moved to the UK in 2001.  The majority of her working life has been spent in customer-facing roles as a technical consultant and salesperson for business intelligence software firms, which afforded her with significant world-wide travel opportunities.

Married to Phillip and happily ensconced in Malvern, Barbara recently completed a Master’s degree in Conservation of the Historic Environment from BCU and now works for Telford & Wrekin Council as a Built Heritage Specialist.  When she’s not looking at historic buildings, you’ll find her updating Malvern Link with Cowleigh’s websites, or creating videos and marketing materials for an upcoming event.  She is often the ‘voice’ behind the Facebook and Instagram posts, where she endeavours (endeavors) to remember to Britify her spelling and grammar.

On the rare occasion that she’s not working, Barbara enjoys running, nature walks, singing, playing cello, reading and cuddling her two bearded dragons – oh, and her husband.  Mustn’t forget him!
