Christmas Activities for Kids

We’ve got great activities and services lined up for kids this Christmas.
If you want to create your own show-stopping nativity scene in gingerbread (with chocolate and sprinkles) come along to our Edible Nativity at St Matthias’ on 20th December and St Peter’s on 21st December. Book your free place on Eventbrite

Then there’s what promises to be a riot of family fun with ‘Babs of Bethlehem’ a nativity show like no other, presented by the Lamps Theatre Company at St Peter’s on 22nd December. Tickets cost just £3, via Eventbrite

And on the night before Christmas, join us for traditional Crib Services at St Matthias’ and The Ascension. Traditional carols and songs, a new knitted nativity, the real Christmas for all the family, from birth to great-great-great grandparents and everyone in between. Christmas Eve 2pm St Matthias, 4pm Ascension.

Monday Tots

10:30am (term time) at St Matthias’ Church

In the meantime, if you and your little ones are missing Monday Tots at St Matthias’ Church, we’ve made a home recording for you of some of the songs, complete with some plush guest appearances.

You’ll also find us posting kid-friendly activities on our Facebook page here.

Christenings

Have you thought about getting your children (or yourself) christened? We provide a warm, welcoming and fun family-friendly service, perfect for kids of any age. We’re also happy to christen you if you’re an adult who hasn’t already been baptised/christened.

To book a christening, or to just find more information pop over to the Christening page under the Life Events menu option above.  If you still have questions or want to chat about whether it’s right for you, please email the parish office on office@mlwc.church or ring us on 01684 252003. See contact page for office hours.
