On Wednesday 5th June Scarlett received her Royal School of Church Music medal at pale blue level. Peter Johnson, musical director for our Church Choirs, presented the award.
Es Hoyle, who leads the children’s choir, said ‘Scarlett has been coming to the Youth Choir since it started over three years ago. She has worked hard to gain this medal, which requires a broad understanding of music and musicality, as well as vocal and choral skills. She has done so well and we are proud of her achievements’.
The choir practice is held at St Matthias Church on Wednesdays 6:15 -7.
